The purpose of the signs in the Newman driveway is to announce important school events. Two signs were purchased because, at times, two events may need to be posted. Management of sign messages will be through the sign calendar on the PTC website.
The signs will display event information as follows:
- When two events are announced, both signs will be used.
- When only one event is upcoming, the first sign (Sign #1) will display “Welcome to Newman.” The second sign (Sign #2) will post the event.
- When no events need sign space, Sign #2 will display “Have a great day” and Sign #1 will display “Welcome to Newman.”
To schedule and manage information on the 2 PTC signs in the Newman driveway, please adhere to the following procedures:
1. Reserve space on the Sign Calendar on the PTC Website
- Check the PTC Website sign calendar under PTC Admin to make sure the dates you want are open.
- Send an email to Bill Paulson at bill@billpaulson.com and he will put your event on the sign calendar for the length of time you need.
- The first event signed up will use Sign #2. If two events need sign space at the same, the second event will use Sign #1.
2. Post the event on the sign
- The sign letters are located in the PTC Room, in a clear container with a white cover/handle.
- Remove the current message and post your event message. Return all un-used letters and file them alphabetically.
3. Remove your event and replace sign greeting
- Remove your message on the date scheduled, and if no other event is scheduled, use the message as noted above for Sign #1 and Sign #2. Return all un-used letters and file them alphabetically.
- If another event is scheduled immediately after yours, no action is necessary. The person posting the new event will remove your message and alphabetically file the letters they don’t use.
