Carpool

Save Time in the Pick-up Line

Dear Parents,

In order to increase safety for our children and to reduce the number of cars in our over-crowded parking lot, the Newman School in conjunction with Green Kids Newman is introducing a carpool program for families. Please help reduce traffic at pick-up time by joining this program. Let us put together a carpool for you with other families or create your own carpool and tell us about it. Carpools recognized by our program will see these immediate benefits:

• Save money on gas
• Enjoy more time for yourself

• Fewer carbon dioxide emissions
• Better air quality around the school
• Safety:
• Fewer cars
• A better organized dismissal will deliver carpooling kids directly to your car
• Community:
• Get to know other students in your child's activities.
• Get to know other parents in the school
• Parenting:
• Learn more about your own children while driving around with their peers
• Your children will benefit from a mixed-grade environment.

Let us know about your established carpool or let us create one for you by filling out a STUDENT DESTINATION FORM for each of your children. Drivers will receive placards identifying the carpools, with largest carpools receiving their identifying placards first.

Forms are due back on Friday, September 12th.
